The Rotator®
Revolution

Impacting the Industry

Back in the 1980s Nelson saw it was a time for a change, and set out to completely redesign the impact sprinkler. The result was an entirely new drive mechanism with superior performance … the Rotator® sprinkler was born! This durable plastic creation simplifies the water propulsion method by limiting the moving parts to one.

How the Rotator® Works

The water stream emitted from the nozzle is directed into an offset channel on the rotor plate, which creates a reactionary drive force. A viscous silicone fluid in the rotor motor controls the rotation speed. This precise and simple design solves many of the problems that the impact sprinkler faces. More uniform water distribution patterns can be achieved, reliability is enhanced, application rates are reduced, costs and maintenance are lowered, and riser vibration is eliminated.

A Family of Products
Micro:
R5-R7

When you’re looking for low application rates or one-sprinkler-per-tree solutions look to the lower end of the Rotator® spectrum.

Full Coverage Irrigation:
R10-R2000

Reach the roots with Rotators. Properly managed full coverage irrigation systems deliver higher water efficiency than drip irrigation, with many environmental and economic benefits as a bonus.

Solid Set & Wheel Line:
R2000WF-R33

Rotator sprinklers don’t have riser vibration or splash down like impacts and evenly lay down the water for high yield and grade. The R2000WF obsoletes the 1/2" impact sprinkler and is ideal for solid set applications and high value vegetable germination, while the R33 becomes a great 3/4" impact sprinkler replacement for wheel lines.

Why Rotator® Technology Reigns.
  • 30+ Years Field-Proven
  • Best in Class at Getting Water in the Ground
  • High Uniformity
  • Modular Design / Multiple Mounting Options Available
Better than Brass
Superior Uniformity.
Leads to high yield and grade.

The R2000WF Rotator® consistently delivers higher uniformity than impact sprinklers. It forms a tight wind-penetrating stream that is systematically broken up by a diffuser, filling in the water pattern. Its sweeping actiongently distributes water droplets to the ground preventing soil compaction.

No Riser Vibration or Splash Down.
Ideal for germination.

The drive arm of an impact sprinkler directs a harsh “splash down” that seals the soil and causes crop damage directly around the sprinkler, while barren “wind skip” areas develop where the distorted stream doesn’t reach the crop.

Heavy-duty Reliability.
Low cost and less maintenance.

The smart, modular design of the R2000WF Rotator makes it quick, simple and inexpensive to repair. Individual parts can be purchased to rebuild damaged sprinklers.

Unmatched Irrigation Uniformity

The R2000WF provides higher yield and grade - increasing growers' profits.
